Provides CAD support for the production of plan sets; maintains CAD files and file structure for active projects and in as-built archive; adherence to AIA CAD standards, maintains technical expertise in all CAD related hardware/software

Required Knowledge of:
AutoCAD 2012
BOMA standard
Familiar with Tririga, OSCRE standard
Computer technology in specific areas of application, such as architecture and design
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to work as part of a team
Understanding advanced methods and techniques of using and AutoCAD
General design and construction and facility terminology
Principles and practices of reading and interpreting design and construction drawings

Education and Experience:
Associates Degree or technical school certification in architecture, interior design
CAD drafting, 3D Modeling, or closely related field and two years of experience drafting with AutoCAD on multi-discipline projects

Youthful fashion retail client is growing rapidly and has an immediate need for an Associate Web Designer to design and execute digital content components to elevate our eCommerce and Social Networking presence.

The primary focus of this position will be to create a compelling homepage and email content, as well as, the preparation of images for the web. The ideal candidate will be a digital design “rock star” with 2-3+ years of experience. Since our company is focused on selling women’s’ apparel, footwear, handbags and accessories, expertise in eCommerce fashion/retail, web graphic design, is really important.

This is a design role, but some backend programming and “web mapping” will be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design compelling visual treatments for emails, homepages, and social media, to drive sales.
• Work closely with design and technology teams to conceptualize and prototype functionality, look and feel.
• Multitask projects; concept development, design and implementation; presenting, and reporting progress.
• Backend programming and “web mapping” development
• Work closely with internal business partners as well as Information Architects, Developers and Project Managers

QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong design and layout skills
• Graphic Design skills and ability to use Adobe Creative Suite 4 including Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver with experience creating layers and redlines for web development.
• Expertise with, Illustrator, Typefaces, & web production required.
• A broad understanding of HTML, Flash and the capabilities of web browsers.
• Experience with Flash and querying/parsing data from XML or databases.
• Understanding of Digital processes and print processes with the ability to define and work within specifications.
• Strong Internet technology skills with an ability to prototype and to communicate with UX & Development teams.
• Ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms (eCommerce CMS tools).
• Organized with the ability to manage numerous projects, tight turnaround times, revisions and technical challenges effectively.
• Ability to independently solve problems is an essential skill for this position.

Develops and adheres to a design strategy (including budgets and timelines) based on the project brief, creative criteria, expected production values, and reviews creative concepts against the strategy. Articulately represents creative work to creative leadership supporting the design strategy. Selects and supervises illustrators, artdirects photographers and other outside services.

Summary of Experience: Professional experience with a design firm, advertising agency or marketing department: 6+ years. Supervision of workgroups: 1 year. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross functional projects and activities. Supervisory skills. Organizational skills. Must be proficent in Sketchup, Revit and AutoCAD. Hand Sketching is a plus.
